I honest believe, according to the Bible, that it's faith AND good works.
Romans 2:7 "To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life."
Galations 6:6-10 "Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
Now, you mention Romans 3:28? The law here refers to the Mosaic law (the Torah- the first 5 books of the Old Testament)- He's saying it's not necessary to be circumcised anymore, which is a ket ritual in the Mosaic law. We are now justified by faith apart from works of the Mosaic law. vs. 29 is present because the Jews have the Mosaic law and the Gentiles do not.

Thanks babes. I don't know. I was telling JOnathan the other day, I think both are possible. I'm just so confused and want to give up, but that's what I've always done regarding the topic of religion. I think I really need to figure it out once and for all and stop giving up. It's just hard, but I guess God never said it'd be easy.

I was reading James and some commentaries. In James 2 it says that faith without works is dead. Also works without faith is dead. As a believer, we should want to bear the fruits. So it's not so much that the good works takes us to Heaven. A Christian should live their lives sharing God's love through words and works. So it is saying that a Christian's spiritual life would be dead without following God's will and plan for their lives. I just wanted to share my studies. I am very intrigued by this whole faith and works thing. I am praying for you. I love you!
